LG have been one of the leading manufacturers of premium quality televisions for many years. Today we’re reviewing the new LG C1 OLED 4K Television; a further impressive addition to their lineup, which boasts some truely incredible technologies.
The LG C1 OLED 4K Television has a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels, otherwise known as full-4k. This means that it has an impressively high pixel density, which can produce beautiful images with incredible detail. As this is an OLED TV, rather than LED, these pixels are self-lit. This results in a vast range of colour and contrast, rather surpassing similar screens of a comparible cost.
The display also features a 120hz refresh rate, resulting in fluid, smooth motion than makes the screen a joy to look at, reducing eye-strain, and improving the user experience while using apps and menus.
All of these features combine nicely over a 65″ surface, with extremely low response latency. This means that the screen is also idea for gaming, where low response times result in more accurate and responsive control over what is happening on the screen.
The only downside with an OLED screen is the risk of burn-in. These are shadows of image which can temporarily “burn-in” to the screen is a static image is left on for too long. This shouldn’t be a problem for most users, though is worth keeping in mind for user who might use a games console or PC with this screen.
Sound quality is often overlooked when it comes to televisions, but this new TV offers the latest Dolby Vision IQ and Atmos. This delivers an immersive experience for those who want a more detailed and realistic soundscape.
If you do wish to use an external sound system with this TV, bluetooth is supported, in addition to wried solutions, allowing for pretty much and sound system to integrate quickly and easily.
LG ThinQ AI assistant
At the heart of the TV is the LG ThinQ AI assistant. This voice-assistant responds to a wide range of commands.
For example, if you wake up and want to find a show to watch before work, just ask your television to find something for you!
This appears to integrate with both Amazon’s Alexa and Google Voice-assistant, again, allowing this television to easily fit-in to any smart home set up.
LG has created a beautiful looking TV, with a great screen and sound quality, and plenty of smart TV features to keep you entertained. If you’re in the market for a new television which combines both smooth, high refresh rates and high-resolutions, be sure to give it a look.
